      His main scientific researchers are devoted to the problems of higher education, thetheory and methods of physical culture, the theory of elite sports, adaptive physical culture insports and health systems, software for the training of physical culture personnel in the educationsystem.

      A.E. Bolotin is one of the founders of the system for the introduction of innovativepedagogical technologies in the educational process of higher education.

      In the process of scientific and pedagogical activity, he substantiated, developed andpractically implemented in the practice of higher education in the dissertations of his studentsnew scientific concepts:

     1. The concept of using game methods for training specialists in the field of physicalculture and sports.

     2. The concept of accelerated development of physical qualities in various categories ofspecialists.

     3. The concept of block-modular training of specialists in the field of physical culture andsports.

     4. The concept of education of high moral-volitional and socially significant qualities instudents by means of physical culture and sports.

      5. The concept of using advanced pedagogical technologies in the educational process ofuniversities.

      6. The concept of the use of specific means and methods in the sport of higherachievements.

      These concepts were the scientific basis for the development of physical culture programsand other documents regulating the organization and conduct of classes.

3 EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

        The general scientific and pedagogical experience is more than 45 years. Since 2002 hehas been teaching at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Currently, he teachesat the Higher School of Sports Pedagogy of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports andTourism. Having a great life, pedagogical and sports experience, he conducts a lot of educationalwork on teaching masters and postgraduates of Peter the Great SPbPU. Over the past twentyyears, he has trained more than 50 candidates and doctors of pedagogical sciences, in thespecialty 5.8.5. Theory and methodology of sports.

      A.E. Bolotin is distinguished by high pedagogical skills, scientific erudition, generalculture, possession of advanced pedagogical technologies and methodological skills. The classeshe conducts encourage students and graduate students to active cognitive activity. A.E. Bolotin isthe author of a number of new pedagogical and gaming technologies used in the educationalprocess of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of Peter the Great SPbPU. Formerits in pedagogical and scientific work, he was repeatedly encouraged by the Governor of St.Petersburg.

4 ACADEMIC & SCIENTIFIC EXPERIENCE

      A.E. Bolotin is actively engaged in the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel,competently and productively supervises the scientific work of doctoral students, adjuncts andapplicants. He prepared eleven Doctors of Science and 57 Candidates of Science. A.E. Bolotin isthe Deputy Chairman of the Dissertation Council U 5.8.5.17 for the defense of dissertations forthe degree of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences in the specialty 5.8.5. Theory and methodologyof sports of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.

5 PUBLICATIONS

      A.E. Bolotin is the author of over 400 publications, of which 74 are included in theScopus International Database. The Hirsch index according to the RSCI is 67, according tothe Scopus database - 14.

      A.E. Bolotin is the author of twelve monographs, 9 textbooks, as well as 18educational and teaching aids, 14 lecture courses on the theory and methodology of physicalculture. These works are widely used in the educational process of higher educationalinstitutions of the country.
